Install
Add Wendy to your home screen.
Wendy is a web app, so there's nothing to download. Adding it to your home screen makes it open like an app, and on iPhone it's the only way check-ins can arrive as notifications.
Wendy on your home screen is the same Wendy, with notifications.
iPhone and iPad
- 1. Tap the Share button in Safari.
- 2. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- 3. Open Wendy from the new icon.
- 4. Sign in once with the code we email you.
Opened this from Gmail or Slack?
Inside another app's browser (Gmail, Slack, LinkedIn, Instagram), the Share button can't add to the home screen. Copy the link, open Safari, paste it, and add Wendy from there.
Android
Tap the menu (three dots) at the top right, then Install app or Add to Home screen. Open Wendy from the new icon and turn on check-ins under Profile & settings.
Mac
- Safari — File → Add to Dock. Wendy opens in its own window and can show notifications once you turn on check-ins.
- Chrome or Edge — Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or open the menu and choose Install Wendy.
Windows
- Chrome or Edge — Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or open the menu and choose Install Wendy.
After installing
The installed app starts signed out. Sign in once with a code we email you and it stays signed in. Check-ins are off until you turn them on under Profile & settings.
What it isn't
Nothing is installed from an app store. No background access, no contacts, no location. Remove it like any icon; your account is unaffected.
