1.Our commitment
Wendy aims to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. Every interactive element is built to work with a keyboard and a screen reader; text can be resized to 200 percent; a standalone link or button is built to a minimum of 44 by 44 pixels, and a link inside a sentence is smaller so it does not break the line; motion respects your system’s reduced-motion setting; no information is carried by color alone. Those are what Wendy is built and checked for, not what an audit found: our own checks read every page without a browser, and the checks that need a real browser and a screen reader are still being set up. Known issues are listed below with the date we expect to fix them. If something is in your way, write to hello@askwendy.ai and we will reply within two business days.
2.What that means in the app
- Controls are real links and buttons, reachable and usable from the keyboard, with a name a screen reader can read.
- The lines that say Wendy is software are announced to assistive technology as they appear, so the notice is heard and not only seen.
- Inputs are 16 pixels or larger, so a phone does not zoom when you type.
- A standalone link or button is built to a 44 by 44 pixel minimum. A link inside a sentence is the one exception, because a box that size would break the line.
- The marketing and legal pages, this one among them, read in full with JavaScript, cookies and storage off. The coach, the assessment and Profile & settings are built in the browser and need JavaScript to run.
- Charts and rails carry the same words as text, and no measure is carried by color alone.
- Animations do not run when your system asks for reduced motion.
3.Known issues
None reported. Our own browser checks of every page, with a screen reader and at phone width, are still being set up; anything they find is listed here with a date.
