Workspaces

What your company can and cannot see.

A manager can set up a workspace for their team. This page is the whole of what that shows and to whom, so nobody has to take it on trust.

WHO SEES WHAT

What your teammates see

Your card and "how to work with me," in your own words, once you join. How the two of you fit, side by side. Where you sit in a group you share, with your name on the pin. And, as you use Wendy, how you tend to work. Never your answers.

What your manager sees

The same profiles the team sees: each person's card, how any two people fit, and where a group sits, and, as they use Wendy, how they tend to work. Admins and the owner can open any pair; when a workspace makes groups, they can open any group, in it or not. Never anyone's answers, conversations, notes or inbox, and nothing for a review.

What nobody sees

Answers. Anything written in anyone's inbox or calendar: never a message, a subject line or a name from outside the workspace. Anything for a review, a hire or a pay decision. Wendy's terms forbid it, and the product has no screen for it.

WHAT WE PROMISE YOUR TEAM

Your report is yours first.

Your report is yours first. You'll read it alone before anyone else sees anything, and nothing is shared until you join.

A group opens with two people.

A group shows where each person sits on each measure, with a name on every pin, from two people up. There is no anonymous pin and no hidden cell: what you see is what everyone in the group sees. Someone who has not finished their report is in the group by name, marked “Hasn't finished their report yet,” and is in no count.

When a workspace opens, it can narrow this so that members see only the groups they belong to, and keep members' individual pages, and pairs between two other people, to admins. You always see your own pairs. Admins and the owner always see everything on this page.

What Wendy learns as you work.

As you use Wendy, your profile in a workspace also carries how you tend to work: the working-style patterns and preferences Wendy has noticed, how quickly you tend to reply, how many meetings you tend to have, and who in the workspace you work with most, as rough ranges from your own mail and calendar. Never a message, never a name from outside the workspace, never how anyone feels, never how much you use Wendy. Colleagues can tell from this that you've connected an inbox or calendar; they never see what's in it. Each one is yours to take out, any time, from your workspace profile or your Memory page.

Never for hiring, reviews or pay.

When a workspace is set up, your company agrees to this in writing, in these words:

We won't use anything from Wendy in hiring, reviews, promotion, pay or discipline.

We can ask your company to show us that this is still true. If we believe it isn't, we can suspend or close the workspace, and if we do, we tell everyone in it.

Questions.

Write to hello@askwendy.ai. A person reads it.

FOR YOUR SECURITY AND LEGAL TEAM

For your security and legal team

Who you contract with
AskWendy LLC, a Virginia limited liability company. 4726 16th Rd N, Arlington, VA 22207. support@askwendy.ai · (202) 630-9350.
Where it runs
Vercel, in the US East region (iad1). Data sits in Firebase Firestore in the United States (nam5).
Who the AI provider is
Wendy runs on Claude models from Anthropic. A larger model writes your report, your weekly review and any pair page. A faster model runs the daily chat. We don't train models on your data, and Anthropic doesn't either; our contract with them says so.
What is never stored
Message text. A body from a connected inbox is read into memory for one request, turned into a one-line note, and discarded. Learned from your communications, no messages are ever kept.
What a person can take with them
Everything, as a zip, under Profile & settings: their answers, their report, their card, their notes, the people and interactions Wendy holds, and their conversations.
What a person can delete
Any one thing Wendy remembers, a connected account, their report, or the whole account. A deletion request is carried out within thirty days.
What a workspace can see
The roster, the seats, and every member's profile: their card, their pairs, their groups and the working habits Wendy has noticed, by name. Never anyone's answers, chats, notes or memory, and never how much anyone uses Wendy.
What a workspace can never see
Wendy at home, or that anyone uses it. No profile data is attached to any decision about a person's job: never for reviews, hiring or pay.
Single sign-on
Not yet; invites are by email.
The data-processing agreement
Published, versioned, and accepted by the workspace owner when the workspace is set up. It says who is responsible for which data, what a workspace may never be used for, and how we show it. A signed copy is available on request.Read the data-processing agreement →
The notice your team gets
The note every workspace owner sends their people before the first invite, in full, with a plain-text download. The owner will confirm in writing that it went out before the first invite.Read the notice →
How the data is kept
Where it runs, what is never stored, who can reach it, how connected accounts are held, and what we do if something goes wrong, on its own page. No certification is claimed.Read the security overview →
